Hey, all! I am Pam and the face behind Iris Images. Yup, I am a one woman show, so things can get a little overwhelming at times but building this business has been one of my greatest joys and this will be my 11th year doing this full-time.
Before Iris Images, I was a high school English teacher for 5 years but found out quickly that was not the career path for me, so I took a leap of faith, quit teaching and started my own business. And it was the best decision I ever made.
Connecting with so many amazing people and helping them see how beautiful they truly are is definitely why I love this job so much. So many of my seniors express to me that they don't feel like they are photogenic and they're really nervous to be in front of the camera but my absolute favorite thing is to see how much more confident they become as the shoot progresses. At the end, all their nerves have gone away and it's the coolest thing to see them feeling confident and beautiful. I will always be your biggest hype woman. None of my seniors have been professional models but I hope to make you feel like you could be one by the end of the shoot!
I have been married to my best friend for almost 16 years and we have a 10 year old daughter named Aspen Iris (hence the name Iris Images) who makes us laugh hysterically every day and is wise beyond her years.
I love being in nature, hiking, watching sunsets, walking my dog and listening to true crime podcasts. I'm obsessed with cookie cake and tacos and I like to dance and sing to Taylor Swift, even though I’m awful at both of those things.
I feel so lucky to get to do this job every day and I hope to get to meet you!
When you look back at your senior photos in 10 years, I want you to see YOU and not an airbrushed version of yourself. I spend a great deal of time hand-retouching each of your photos to make sure blemishes are removed while still maintaining the texture of your skin so you don’t look plastic. I also don't apply any filters that will be outdated in a few years. I keep my photos true to color so they will remain timeless.
While I now offer all-inclusive digital sessions, I believe that creating prints and products for my clients is so important. It is important to me that you have quality products after your session so you are not left to do it all yourself. I offer a wide variety of products from regular prints and wall portraits to albums and graduation invites. You can either make your own with your digital files you'll receive or you can order through my professional lab!
Choosing what to wear for your senior session can be a daunting task so I have taken quite a few measures to make it as painless as possible! You will receive an extensive What to Wear Guide that gives wardrobe tips and advice for every body type, as well as a guide to what colors look best with different skin tones. In addition to your What to Wear Guide, I also have an accessory closet at the studio where you can borrow accessories on the day of your shoot!
All Iris Images seniors who book a session with me have the opportunity to participate in extra shoots throughout the year for a small cost. These shoots can range from styled shoots to shoots in the snow and shoots in your college gear.
These shoots will be held on dates decided by me and space will be limited.
These shoots include digital files and are a great way to get more images throughout your senior year!
